What makes a great photograph? Everything from contrast balance framing and colors.
Knowing when an image has found that magical place of perfection is innate for many people. People generally know if a photograph is good, they just don't know how to create that image.
We live in a point and click world where most images are taken without much thought. The results are millions of photographs in piles under the couch or stuffed away in some long ago forgotten box in the closet. This is the world of "Snapshot" photos.
The lessons in this section will teach you how to see that perfect photograph. You will learn how to think about what you are seeing through your lens.
Ask yourself these questions before you take the photograph:
Can contrast make an emotional statement?
Will image balance affect the viewer's equilibrium? Can an image move you emotionally, physically, and spiritually?
Can you control the viewer? The answer is yes.
Consider that perfect moment when the camera captures someone jumping over or into a puddle. Our minds are able to follow through with that action that was captured in that image. Likewise when we view an image of a raised hand toward a child you sense urgency or fear.
The lessons to follow can be applied toward any visual art form.
Don't forget with each lesson the
